| The Bedfordshire Police Partnership Trust is pioneering the concept
that co-operation between the police and local business can make a positive
contribution to the safety and prosperity of our communities. |
| |
|
|
|
In
the beginning, sixteen major companies in Bedfordshire agreed to act as founder
members, providing a financial contribution and giving additional commitment as
trustees of the Partnership. |

|
|
| The
founder member companies have played a vital part in the formation of the
Partnership. However, the long-term success depends upon the support of the
county's business community. |
| |
|
|
|
I have been
in business in Bedford for years and wanted to show my support for the police
and the community and when I heard what the partnership does, particularly with
young people, I was impressed and wanted to join. I think it is great that
companies large and small can join the partnership and contribute to its good
work.
- Sid Worth, Live Sounds Ltd in Harper Street, Bedford. |

The Partnership is open to any business
or local community organisation who may join and become a partner for an
annual fee of £250. The Partnership depends entirely on
support from local business to help develop its community initiatives. By
joining, a company is demonstrating its commitment to the local community.
