First Aid Training Services  
From the very basic 'Appointed Person' course, right through to 'First Aid at Work' and 'Ambulance Aid' courses, we can deliver results.

We have well equipped and spacious conference rooms providing an ideal setting in which students can learn.
As well as hands-on practical learning, our training aids range from the books and videos to full size Resusci-Annes allowing students to practice their newly acquired life support skills.
Jim Plater REMT-D (EMTP AEu)
Various locations from workshops to offices to laboratories are used in scenario based exercises in order to raise the students' confidence and skill levels so that they can cope with any emergency, in any environment.

Jim Plater REMT-D (EMTP AEu), who runs the first aid courses, is the Partnership's Senior Medical Officer and has 15 years experience with St John Ambulance and front-line Ambulance Crews.
Jim is registered with the British Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and is a St Johns Level 2 Ambulance Technician.

The following first aid courses are available :-
   
  Emergency Resuscitation
This course covers resuscitation and the recovery position.
Cost of course: FREE       Duration of course: 2 hours
 
  'Fore-Runner' semi-automatic defibrillator
This course covers the use of a 'Fore-Runner' defibrillator in a safe and prompt manner - Only available for people proficient in resuscitation.

  Emergency First Aid for appointed person
A Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved course that covers resuscitation, recovery position, shock, and bleeding.
Cost of course: £10.00       Duration of course: 4 hours
 
  First Aid at Work (FAW)
This HSE approved course covers HSE legislation in relation to first aid in the workplace and reporting of incidents, resuscitation, recovery position, shock, bleeding, heart attack, internal bleeding, fractures, spinal injury, burns, anaphylactic shock, diabetes, epilepsy.

  FAW re-qualification
This is a refresher of the above FAW course - Required by law every 3 years.
